New for Spring 2012, the Maybelline Illegal Length mascara uses "fiber-extension technology"...yes, a fiber mascara. One of those mascaras that nearly cause you to have a heart attack thinking your lashes are falling off when you remove your make-up at night. Just kidding...but yes, the formula contains teenie little fibers that will attach and bind themselves to your natural lashes to give the appearance of longer lashes.
Available in 3 shades this mascara retails for $9.99 and is available at drugstores and mass retailers.
What I like about it:
-Nylon brush...not rubber (personal preference)
-It does a great job at separating and lengthening lashes
-Blackest Black is...pitch black.
-Doesn't flake (Yay!)
What I don't like about it:
-Doesn't hold much of a curl
-Not very volumizing (but then again, it is not marketed as a volumizing mascara)
As it's the case for most mascaras (am I the only one?), I am liking it a lot more now that it's been open for a few weeks.
Because, as I always say, the proof is in the picture :)

What do you look for in a mascara? Length, volume, curling effect, all of the above?
p.s. La version française sera ajoutée sous peu. Désolée les filles!

Yay, you're back!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a length and volume gal...though I do already have pretty thick and long lashes. I lucked out in that department :)
